Summer activities to do in the Verbier region

Every Monday

Agenda: aper’oh! (from 4 July to 29 August 2016)
Relax and discover the characters of local life with an aperitif in a friendly and festive atmosphere in the square of Verbier.

From 15:30 to 17:30

Agenda: horse ride (from 4 July to 5 September)
Meeting at Verbier’s equestrian centre for a 20-minute introduction in the paddock and then a ride outside (weather permitting).

Open to children from the age of 10. CHF 50.-

Registration at the Tourist Office before the previous Saturday.

Every Tuesday

Agenda: brunch at alpage de sery (from 12 July to 23 August)
Explore the area with a pleasant stroll of about 1 hour and taste different kinds of Alpine cheeses, homemade products such as bread and jam, and enjoy a drink of milk produced on site and local apple juice.

Departure at 9:30 in front of the Tourist Office of Tourism and return scheduled between 15:00 and 16:00.

CHF 20.- per person from the age of 6, including transportation and brunch.

Registration at the Tourist Office before noon on Monday.

Agenda: guided tour of verbier-village (from 5 July to 27 September)
Journey through the history of Val de Bagnes, discovering its traditions with a trip to the heart of the beautiful hamlet of Verbier-Village and taste the products of the Valais terroir at the end of the visit.

From 16:00 to 17:45. CHF 10.- from the age of 6.

Registration at the Tourist Office until 10:00 on the day itself.

 

Every Wednesday

Agenda: via ferrata (from 6 July to 17 August)

Discover thrills at the bottom of Val de Bagnes with the Via Ferrata, which this year presents a new section and a zip line. Emotions guaranteed!

Departure at 8:30 in front of the Tourist Office and return around 13:00

Minimum height 1.40 metres. CHF 80.- per person including equipment, guide and transportation.

Registration at the Tourist Office until 15:00 on Tuesday.

Agenda: cheese-making workshop (20/27 July 04, 10, 13 August)

In three hours you will discover all the secrets passed on by a master cheese-maker and you will come away with a Tomme cheese shaped by your own hands.

Room in the old rectory in Verbier Village from 15:00 to 18:00. CHF 50.- per work station

Registration until 17:00 the day before at the Tourist Office.

Every Thursday

Agenda: visit to the alpage de mille cheese dairy (from 7 July to 25 August)
Visit to the cheese dairy and tasting of Tomme and Sérac made there

Departure at 9:00 in front of the Tourist Office and return around 12:00.

CHF 20.-/ from the age of 10, CHF 10.-/ from the age of 6, including transportation, visit and tasting.

Registration at the Tourist Office until Wednesday at noon

Fridays

Agenda: introduction to golf (from1 July to 26 August)
Make your first swings on the green with coaching from a professional golfer.

From 10:00 to 11:00 on the Carrefour driving range

CHF 20.-/ from the age of 10, including coaching and equipment.

Registration at the Tourist Office until Wednesday at 17:00

Agenda: from alpine mines to flavours (Friday 5 and 19 August)
In the footsteps of long gone Mont-Chemin miners, come and discover these mines rich in history, and look forward to a tasting of Alpine products from Col des Planches

CHF 20.-/ from the age of 13, CHF 10.- from the age of 6 to 12, including transport and tour

Registration at the Tourist Office until Wednesday at 16:00

Agenda: bisse des ravines trail (from1 July to 26 August)
Guided walk along the Bisse des Ravines and discovery of local specialties and produce at Raclett’House

Meet at 10:00 at Raclett’House in Bruson

Trail and aperitif CHF 20.-/ Trail and raclette CHF 50.-

Registration at the Tourist Office until the day before at 17:00

Daily

Agenda: take the gourmet trail (from 4 July to 28 August)

Three gourmet stops combined with a pleasant stroll along the Bisse du Levron. An original way to discover the region and its soil for CHF 40.- without drinks

Start with the entrée at La Marlénaz :

Valais platter or Tartine Bagnarde and green salad

Then take the main course at the Marmotte :

Crispy salad of Tomme de Bruson and smoked ham or rösti minced veal with fresh mushrooms

And end with a dessert buffet at Carrefour :
