Each summer Besson Immobilier takes great pleasure in welcoming a number of families who come to enjoy the mountain, the nature, the landscape, the tranquillity and the ambient coolness. The summer in Verbier is a moment of renewal for both adults and children. Parents, you come to spend your holidays in our region and share pleasant mountain moments with your little ones and you would especially like to go on some outings. Is it possible? It sure is! Here are some ideas for excursions that could make the task easier.
THE MINI-TRAIN DES COMBINS: 3 excursions to choose from
Forget going out in the car, and browse our beautiful region aboard a charming little train to fully immerse yourself in our mountain and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
The Combins mini-train offers three trip possibilities and the duration of course varies according to the choice you make. You can choose from
- The visit of the Verbier resort: every Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 10am, 11am, 2pm and 4pm. (1 hour)
- The discovery of the history of raclette, between Châble and Verbier: every Tuesday in summer (from 1:30pm to 4:00pm)
- Discovery of the Haut-Val de Bagnes, following the Giétro glacier (from 9:30am to 4:00pm)
The first two trips are quite feasible with very small children. The last excursion we recommend for older children only as there is a 45-minute walk included.
The first trip can be done at the start of your holiday, it will give you a good idea of the resort during a first visit to Verbier.
The second is our favourite! Between discovering the heritage, crossing the pastures, discovering the typical villages of the region, visiting an old forge, a quiz for children and a cheese tasting you won’t be bored and your little cherubs will love it! Time passes too quickly on this trip!
The train and the museums are free! Make the most of it!
TRACK GAMES: In the footsteps of Célestin le Bouquetin
It is the ideal activity for children from 6 years old – it is a very easy walk (3 km) in a wild and quiet environment. The game is composed of 14 posts and it is located in a course vita, (sports course), which allows you to have fun also with your children on the various positions by testing their balance, flexibility and agility. This treasure hunt will allow you and your children to escape to the magical world of the mountains and Val de Bagnes. The game is fun, original and creative, but not always easy for the little ones. Start and finish at the tourist office of Verbier where, at the end of the game a small gift will be given to you.
A little tip: It is not possible to take the stroller on the vita course path. This activity is free
WALKS Ruinette – Croix de Coeur – le Carrefour (possible in stroller)
A great outing with a breathtaking view that doesn’t require much effort. After taking the ski lifts to the Ruinettes, you will take a long walk through heavenly scenery. You will find yourself amidst blueberries, heather and marmots. Your path will be flat until Croix de Coeur where you can eat. Then you will go down to Les Planards. Your children will be so happy to see the beautiful Hérens cattle in the pastures. You will then join Carrefour where you can take the postal bus or continue to the station by Les Esserts. It is a great walk, without any difficulty other than duration. (almost 4 hours full tour) Plan the picnic or eat at the Croix de Cœur (at the end of the flat part of the walk), the Marmot or the Namasté (Alpine Grands Plans), or at the Carrefour.
