You love the Val de Bagnes so much... because it is a country with a rich and varied heritage... You cherish it because it is powerful, authentic and generous. You live there or visit it regularly because its setting, its people, its culture and its values are invaluable to you. And you love the little stories about it... Would you like us to tell you one?

Well, a team of enthusiasts is going to make a film retracing the epic story of the Giétroz debacle: the natural disaster that caused the collapse of a glacier dam nearly 200 years ago. The result: 44 dead and hundreds of buildings destroyed throughout the Bagnes valley.

It's the perfect movie scenario, with colourful characters, passion, a complex historical and scientific context, and a major challenge: how to save the valley from the threat of the glacier. The locals will also be able to take ownership of the film, as more than 50 extras will take part. It is a great challenge to bring this globally important event to life.

Making a film is very expensive... The production company (Filmic & Sons) has been able to raise several important funds, but these are not yet sufficient to complete the project.

So please commit yourself to your valley and its history. Participate financially in this project and talk about it around you! Besson immobilier has made a pledge and we invite you to do the same to support our local heritage. A crowdfunding campaign is currently underway.
