You are on the lookout for a beautiful terrace on the ski slopes of Verbier to have a drink or grab a snack. The choices are numerous and meet all expectations. You prefer a quiet, authentic, little place,  you would rather lounge in front of a dazzling panorama, or   it is rather a nice dish that you need… here we will try to provide some venues that will delight both your eyes and your taste buds.

TRENDY

Le Mouton noir
Located in Les Ruinettes, Le Mouton Noir is a cosmopolitan stopover in the heart of the slopes. On its panoramic terrace you can enjoy, for example, a tournedos, a risotto with black truffles from Périgord, langoustine ravioli or more classic but revisited dishes.  In après-ski, these dishes can be accompanied by a DJ who will emit the best sound and music amid a picturesque setting.

CONVENIENTLY LOCATED

Le Dahu
Ideally located at the bottom of the Chaux slope, in the very heart of the ski resort, in front of a magnificent landscape, here is a restaurant  that puts an end to the domination on the slopes of the traditional hot dogs, fries and ketchup. Here you will find poussin on the spit, smoked salmon tagliatelle, home-made wood-fired pizzas, tartars and atriaux…

The Dahu can be counted among the largest terraces of Verbier which does not prevent it from maintaining a warm and “friendly” atmosphere.

The cuisine of Claude-Alain Besse, owner and soul of the place, has been known and acclaimed for many years. Claude-Alain relies on a simple philosophy: creativity, passion, know-how and respect for the product.

AUTHENTIC

La Marmotte
The restaurant La Marmotte is run by Aimée, a local who loves mountains and skiing,  on the Savoleyre ski slope. She will offer you a nice varied menu, with simple, tasty,  local and seasonal products. The place is charming with its south-facing terrace, overlooking Verbier. Accessible by ski from the slopes or on foot through a nice snow-covered road,  the restaurant is located outside the resort’s hustle and bustle, which makes it charming.

Le Namasté
Neighbouring Marmotte,  on the Savoleyre slope, the Namasté is a historic building perched at an altitude of more than 1930m that will satisfy the mountain lovers. You will be welcomed by a small and very warm team. The atmosphere is really relaxed and very friendly!  Home-made, local and gourmet cuisine is on offer as well as some nice wines and herbal teas.

Restaurant des Grands Plans
This inn is located on the Grands Plans pasture. A rebuilt stable in the heart of the mountains, this magical and authentic place is run by Magali and Laurent who will welcome you with regional and traditional dishes. The restaurant is renowned for its delicious desserts, including gluten-free chocolate and coconut cakes, prune pies and almond crumbles and  the famous French toast of the Grands Plans.

QUIET

Le Mayentzet
Located on the west side, it is ideally placed to enjoy the afternoon sun until the facilities close. This high-altitude restaurant offers excellent value for money. The atmosphere is friendly with its top staff. Every day, the Chef prepares a daily menu with starter, main course and dessert  or a variety of à la carte dishes revisited in his own way.  Owners Gigi and Rénald will warmly welcome you with simplicity and spontaneity. The Mayentzet is very popular with locals who particularly appreciate the Chinese fondue.

ALPINE

La cabane Mont-Fort
The Cabane Mont-Fort is an alpine shelter with an incredible terrace offering one of the most spectacular views in the region. Perched on the Gentianes slope at an altitude of more than 2400m, the Cabane Mont-Fort provides a traditional alpine atmosphere while offering you tasty local dishes.
